We are Natalie and Ray living in a pretty 4 bedroomed cottage that dates back almost 500 years to 1634, although it has been completely renovated by the owners.
Bookings from 12th April 2021
We are extremely happy to confirm that we are taking bookings from 12th April 2021.Because our guests stay in separate luxury cottages around our courtyard and not in the main house, a single household of two people can stay in each of the four cottages. There are no normal facilities for food with this offer but this can be discussed with you before your stay.
Handywater is in a small village a mile outside Henley on Thames. The area is an AONB, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Yet the local train station will take you to London Paddington in 50 minutes and even Heathrow airport is only 35 min away. We feel very privileged to live in such a beautiful area of England and hope that you too discover and appreciate the beauty of this part of Oxfordshire. We have three cats, Monty, Lolo and Booboo. If you would like to meet them they would love your attention, but will not be offended if you prefer to have nothing to do with them! They are not allowed in the guest rooms.
At the moment, we have 11 hens (6 Oxfordshire brown and 5 rare bantams) and 1 cockerel called Cockie. Our hens are free to roam our paddock and they produce lovely eggs.
Our Seville marmalade with Birch vodka made by Natalie continues to get great reviews from our guests. So we've been busy for hours with organically-grown Seville Oranges, making a fresh batch ready for this year's visitors to enjoy. Our latest offering is Strawberry jam made with Prosecco.
